When we looked to create a range of Wold Rangers Way branded merchandise for our launch in 2021, H&K were the obvious choice to talk to.  They helped design and produce tee shirts for the launch event and since then have worked with us and other partners we have introduced (such as Ultra Trails)

Their friendly knowledgeable staff have helped us every step of the way, from choosing the garment that best suited our needs to the finishing touches on our design.

We've worked closely with EBTP since we had the very first thoughts about creating a walking route based on the Wold Rangers and their connection to the Yorkshire Wolds. The brand evolved into what you see today and we love it!

EBTP really understood what we wanted to achieve in bringing the Wold Rangers story to life. They supplied creativity and ideas and at the same time understood the need to create straighforward, useable walking guides and maps.

Ultra Trails

When Ultra Trails approached us with the idea of creating a new ultra marathon using the 44-mile route of the Wold Rangers Way we jumped at the chance.

Not only did an ultra marathon sound like a great idea but the team behind Ultra Trails were based locally too. Their passion, knowledge and enthusiasm shone through. Like us, they shared an ethos of using local suppliers and even commissioned their trophies from Driffield Men In Sheds!

First Aid Box Training

First Aid Box Training Solutions are a leading provider of professional training courses covering a range of mandatory, statutory and bespoke subjects.

For the trustees of the Wold Rangers Way we asked about some basic first aid training to assist us when offering guided walking events. FAB delivered this in a dynamic, fun and informative way and also provided the basics around use of defibrilators too. Being a local Driffield business we know we can call on them at any time for advice and support.

In 2025, the trustees secured funding to purchase a mobile defribrillator to take out on our organisaed guided walks - supplied by FAB!

Rusticus

Local acting group Rusticus worked with us when we first launched the Wold Rangers Way in August 2021.  For the launch event we planned guided walks on three of our newly created Trods - the Croom Mabel Trod, The Horsehair Jack Trod and the Dog Geordie Trod. To really bring these walks to life we asked Rusticus if they could provide 3 actors to play the parts of these Rangers and what a great job they did!

A year later and we held our first ever Wold walking festival. For one of the events we wanted to recreate the occassion when Ginger Joe met the King and Queen of England in Sledmere - so again we turned to Rusticus who supplied not only Ginger Joe but King George and Queen Mary too. Later in July 2022 when we held the 'drumming up' along came Mabel, Jack and Joe again to entertain the walkers with their Ranger tales around the campfire.

AllSigns

AllSigns have over 25 years experience working in the print sector offering many services, from design and print to fabrication and fitting.

When it came to production of our illustrative map installed in Market Place, Driffield we worked with our graphic designer (EBTP) and AllSigns to create the large, high quality map which today stands at the starting place for the Wold Rangers Way. They also produced our highly distinctive way marker signs which feature now on posts and gates across the Wolds.

Ramblers Association

Since first devising the Wold Rangers Way we have worked closely with the East Riding branch of the Ramblers who have been invaluable with their help and advice. From validating the routes to helping install way marker signs the local volunteers have been so supportive and provided a wealth of information.

Local volunteers have also helped lead many of our walks, especially during the 2022 walking festival.

Planet Patrol

We are working Planet Patrol to clean up the Wolds.

How do we do this? 

Planet Patrol combines activities, like walking, paddle boarding and running with litter picking and data collection.

The Planet Patrol free app helps our walkers gather photographic evidence of brands, types and locations of litter polluting nature globally.

We encourage all walkers on the Wold Rangers Way not to leave any litter but if they come across some, pick it up and log it on the Plnet Patrol App.

How does the Planet Patrol database help?

It logs what’s thrown away and where to help develop targeted solutions

It helps shape government policies to eliminate single use materials.

Heritage Fund

The Heritage Fund have kindly supported the Wold Rangers Way to deliver projects to enhance the walking routes and deliver events.

Across the UK they distribute over £300million a year to create positive and lasting change for people and places.

We are a family owned independent bookshop called "The Little Book Emporium"  located in the historic market town of Driffield.

With over 20,000 books in the shop we hold quite range of new, secondhand and antiquarian books, we also offer stock all the Wold Rangers Way walking guides/maps.

The Yorkshire Wolds Heritage Trust

The Yorkshire Wolds Heritage Trust (YWHT)is registered with the Charity Commission. It was formed in 1991 after a study of the prospects for the redundant church at Warter had revealed a lack of coordination not only between local authorities but between conservation groups too.

A need was recognised for an integrated approach to safeguard and promote this environment. The YWHT has brought together geologists, archaeologists, architectural historians, social historians, farmers and agricultural lecturers, botanists, ornithologists, zoologists, artists and writers.
 

In 2026 the YWHT kindly provided funding towards the installation of Wold Rangers Benches and Inperpretation Boards along the route of the 44-mile Wold Rangers Way. These can be seen in Huggate, Fridaythorpe, Fimber and Sykes Monument, Sledmere.  These installations join those already in Market Place, Driffield and Driffield's Millenium Green.
