Wolds Away is located in the paddock at Carters Barn. The lodges are positioned so that you can enjoy the views across the Yorkshire Wolds. Huggate



Huggate is a beautiful ancient Wolds Village, steeped in history and a wonderful place to visit when walking on the Wold Rangers Way - especially the Wolds Inn or Rachel's Walnut Cottage Tea rooms.

Here are some of our favourite facts about Huggate:

- Huggate has one of the deepest wells in England - 116 yards (106 m) deep.
- In October 1943, the Royal Air Force created an airstrip from steel mesh at Huggate Wold in preparation for the forthcoming invasion of Europe,
- There is a car park which ideal for visitors to the village or walkers exploring the many circular walks across the Wolds. In addition to the Wold Rangers Way, the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail passes to the north of the village.
